The GENIAC was an educational computer kit toy designed and marketed by Edmund Berkeley with Oliver Garfield of the Toy Development Company, Inc in 1955. This toy computer remained popular throughout the 1960s, teaching basic computer knowledge and Boolean logic. The kit came with a rotary construction set of six masonite disks with brass jumpers to connect to a battery in the back. With a GENIAC, you could construct over 125 different circuits and machines that can solve puzzles, reason, compute, and play games. It was also called, “the electric brain.”
