Blackberry 8800 World Phone

Company:
Blackberry
Year:
2007

Until the introduction of the Apple's iPhone in 2007 and Android in 2008, Blackberry defined the smartphone market. The Blackberry 8830 World Phone was among the most popular smartphones of 2007.
Measuring 114mm x 66mm x 13.9mm (4.5" x 2.6" x 0.55") and weighing 130g (4.6oz), the BlackBerry 8830 was both smart and stylish. MicroSD memory cards were used to complement the 64MB on board memory. The device featured a 320x240 pixel resolution and 65k color TFT LCD display. Standard BlackBerry features like Bluetooth and speakerphone functionality were included, as was a built-in GPS module.
As of this writing (1st quarter 2014), Blackberry is down to a 1.7% market share among new phones in one of the most spectacular declines in corporate history.
